Georgian House

Refurbishment and extension of a Grade II listed Georgian Terrace in Camberwell, London

Ongoing, the interior has been completed, planning permission for the extension has been granted on appeal.

After years of neglect, this property has been now been completely internally refurbished. Although some historic items such as fire places had been lost, it was possible to restore many of the other original elements such skirting boards, doors, stairs, frames and cornices. A clear distinction was made between original elements, which have all been painted in a bone colour or a blue or green grey, and new inserts which have been chosen in off white or silver. The overall result is that of a muted richness of greys, blues, greens and browns - a contemporary interpretation of what once was a much richer colour scheme.
