Cardington Pool

A new private pool in Cardington, Shropshire

Completed, 2011

The works comprise a 5m by 13m practice pool, gym and steam room. The project is situated in the historic village of Cardington.

Using untreated timber cladding as the dominant external material, the proposal attempts to include ideas from local barn structures and strike a balance between blending into the local vernacular and creating a distinctly contemporary and independent structure.
